Two Storey Work From Home Office Building with Roof Deck | Malabon City | EAB Design Studio |

When covid-19 struck in 2020, a lot of companies all over the world needed to make a drastic shift to send their employees home and work virtually. This unprecedented circumstance was necessary to protect employees from the virus and at the same time for businesses to keep going. This transition led to the term now called WORK FROM HOME, which opened up a range of possibilities for the way businesses can currently operate. As a result, after everyone settled into this kind of set-up, people adapted and used all the necessary technological tools needed to stay productive despite being remote from their offices. It became apparent that in many cases, employers began to realize that businesses can thrive even in the Work from home system. This project was inspired by the advantages the go with Working from home, this proposed Two-Storey Office Building with Roof Deck is situated in a 240 square meter lot located in a relatively dense residential area. One of the design challenges of this project was to have a harmonious circulation with the existing residential houses on the Left-side and rear portion of the property. Moreover, not to disrupt the comfort and operation of both the existing structures and the Proposed Office Building. Another design consideration is that the office building can accommodate Four (4) parking slots, A lobby, Two (2) office spaces, and a residential roof deck for the owner. One of our design challenges was the space restrictions, given that there are already two (2) existing residential houses on the property. Furthermore, we considered the accessibility of the office spaces and the residential roof deck not to mention the 4 parking slots requirements. Taking all of this into account, we designed the ground floor solely for parking, and we proposed an exterior staircase that can directly access both the 2nd floor which houses the Two (2) offices, and the roof deck. The external staircase was designed so that it saves space and gives spatial segregation from the office operations and the privacy of the roof deck. The 2nd floor was planned to house a pantry and lobby, this gives clients and employees transition before accessing the office spaces. The balcony is intended to protect the façade from the harsh afternoon sun. The 3rd floor was designed to have a more relaxing feel that inspires relaxation and creativity, with a generous roof deck space apparent in the façade that can house small gatherings coupled with a large bedroom where the client can relax after a day’s work. The result is a Structure that strives to harmonize the Work and life balance, free from the stress of commuting, and opens up a range of possibilities for the manner that businesses can work with the advent of modern technology. The Hardware Store Design by EAB Design Studio. Hardware Stores nowadays are a dime a dozen, everywhere you see the over-saturation of these stores, which is kind of a good thing considering the Construction Industry in the Philippines is still in high demand. Hardware stores usually have an Industrial facade, and rightfully so, given the magnitude of Construction materials and supplies, it houses. But what if that weren't the case? What if a Hardware Store is reflective of a well-built and Designed structure that is a clear-cut outcome of the diverse Construction materials it houses. This is one of the Design Challenges that our client wanted us to consider to Design a Modernized Hardware Store.   Located on the East Coast of Zamboanga City, this modernized Hardware store was carefully designed to be aesthetically identifiable from the Main Thoroughfare. Where, all the intrinsic details like the light wood cladding, accent walls, concrete pavement patterns, stonework, and signages can be easily seen and appreciated. Our Design Team opted to incorporate large glass panels and canopies to give the overall design a Modern Tropical character.  Our Team was also tasked to design the Store Logo as well as the Billboard Signage and incorporate it in the overall Architectural Design. Positioned and allocated carefully to be proportionate to the building while at the same not intrusive or excessive. The Planter Boxes give the Facade Design a certain character that stays true to the Modern Tropical feel, which consequently creates a buffer zone from the public to service entrances. The heart of the operations lies in the 314 SQM Warehouse located at the rear part of the property that constitutes roughly around 40% of the overall lot area.  The interiors of this structure were designed to house an office Space, a Modernized Cashier, an Information Center, Male and Female Toilets, and a maximized but well design Commercial space where all the items are properly displayed and segregated that is easily identifiable to buyers or consumers. Home Renovation & Expansion by EAB Design Studio Home is where the heart is, whether it's building a new one or trying to revamp/remodel an old building, of course, we want a home that reflects us in every way. Most of us are pondering if renovating a home is a worthwhile investment, compared to typically building a new structure from scratch. But with home renovations, you can build a home you've always dreamed of, with a few design tweaks and ingenuity without having any compromise. Take a look at our current Two-Storey Home Renovation and Expansion Project in partnership with our Construction Arm Twin Torres Construction Corporation. Mr. & Mrs. Ulnagan a young couple from Metro Manila purchased this 135 square meter property sometime around 2018, despite the property having an existing and unfinished structure, they fell in love with the place and envisioned a home for their growing family. Every family has its own needs, Our Team was adamant in trying to future-proof a home design for Mr. & Mrs. Ulnagan that is a reflection of their lifestyle. Along with our clients, we opted to open up & expand the ground floor to make the space bigger than what it really is. Allocating a spacious kitchen coupled with an array of window sizes to let in natural light and ventilation. With careful space planning considerations the second-floor houses 3 bedrooms, 2 baths, 1 music room, and a proposed office for their spare room. Each room having a distinct character depending on the intent and purpose of the space yet still coincides with the overall design. The facade of the home was renovated to give a Modern Tropical Character, we designed the facade with white walls, large windows, canopies, and light-colored wood accents and trellises to give ample lighting and ventilation while at the same time providing sun-shading elements that protect the interior spaces from the harsh afternoon sun. Personally, home renovations give our team an elevated level of excitement. Trying to work around different design solutions, translating our clients' preferences, and giving them maximum comfort without any compromise is what makes our creative insights flourish. REYES RESIDENCE RENOVATION designed by EAB Design Studio, situated in a relatively urbanized setting. The owners of this residence wanted a renovation project that will modernize their outdated facade as well as expand their living space with the inclusion of an entertainment center coupled with a spacious bar counter located in the auxiliary building. The owners wanted to have an additional bedroom located in the Main Building. This residence was designed to have a Modern Tropical facade that complements its surroundings with vibrant colors, which further adds up to space's sensory experience, which takes advantage of the sunlight, heat, and scent inherent in the tropical atmosphere. Careful use of materials like glass, light wood, engineered stones were carefully selected to highlight the facade and space of the building, but the natural light, views of vegetation, which contributes to the harmonious blend of the landscape from which this structure is situated. One Storey House Design tour designed by EAB Design Studio. One of our earliest projects back in 2019, this One Storey Home is situated in a spacious 250 SQM Lot. The owners wanted a home that is a clear balance between open spaces and the built environment. The Clients preferred to own a One-Storey House with an open plan design incorporating a modern tropical architectural character. One of the challenges of this design is to balance the overall property with more than gracious open spaces and building a home that is large enough to satisfy the needs of this family of four (4). Hence, the front of the property is dedicated to the driveway and carport, carefully designed with tactile surfaces, landscapes as well as a unique design carport canopy. Before reaching the interior of the house, you are greeted with a Koi Pond that accentuates the facade along with the accent wall. An open-plan design was incorporated into the interior of the home to make the living, dining, and kitchen area bigger. This Modern Tropical Home strives to embody what our homes should be, a design that is immersive to the natural environment.
